Last sunday's (23rd Dec) cycle took us on a slightly different coarse than usual. When i suggested we take in Geeragh hill near Kilbehenny,  the response by some was of muted confusion as they had never heard of it. The remainder shouted profanities at the idea!! We made our way out of Clogheen through Ballyporeen and onto the old Cork/Dublin road. Into Kilbehenny and right,  along by church. At this point there was a few butterflies building in some bellies as i said we were getting close to the climb. As we cornered the bend just before Geeragh hill those butterfies turned into a mass toilet stop to lighten the load before our ascent!! As myself and K.R tried to recover at the top of the climb , 'John Boy' comes over the top saying there is a breakdown half way up. Turned out one of our Wise Men blew a head gasket on the way up due to an over zealous start! We waited for repairs to be done and on we went into Anglesborough. Mainly downhill all the way home from that point. But i'm sure my nose was itchy that evening as they cursed  An cnoic Gearr ( The short hill)
